Find Out About Stanchions & Why Queue Lines Are Important
Types of Stanchions and Why Queue Lines Help
Business owners understand that even small decisions can significantly impact their finances. From hiring, store colors, or where you place your checkout, every choice matters. The same goes for purchasing the right crowd-control guidance solutions. This is why we have gone over different types of stanchions and how they can help your patron's traffic flow, queue line efficiency, or queue line purchases.
What is a stanchion?
A Stanchion is a helpful crowd control tool to guide the flow of foot traffic and can be easily moved to create different layouts. Stanchions are defined as sturdy upright fixtures that provide support for some other object. They can be permanent features or ones that can be packed up and moved based on your crowd control scenarios.
Why should you consider using stanchions?
As a retail business owner, have you ever thought about how organizing crowds can help increase sales? Having customers wait in an organized line, waiting to checkout, or considering purchasing one of the “in-line items” you've laid out can be hugely beneficial. In fact, studies show that merchandised items placed in a checkout queue line can increase sales by up to 50%. As you might guess, a lack of stanchions and stanchion-created queues can decrease sales. This is because a customer who is not exposed to additional products in line does not make a purchase.
If you're looking for advice on how to layout your stanchion queue and set up merchandising panels, you're in luck. Epic Solutions experts understand the challenges faced by business owners who want to improve their customer experience. That's why we offer a wide variety of stanchions to fit your unique needs. Types of Stanchions
Get ready to learn about the four essential types of stanchions that will blow your mind! These sturdy and reliable crowd control tools are the backbone of any event, and you'll be amazed at the variety of options available. So buckle up and get ready for an exhilarating journey into the world of stanchions!
Retractable Belt Stanchions
Retractable Belt Barrier Stanchions are currently the most popular choice for crowd control. These stanchions come in four different types, including free-standing, removable, fixed, and wall-mounted, providing you with the flexibility to create the layout that best suits your needs. You can also accessorize your stanchions with a variety of signage for directions or branding. The retractable stanchions come in many finishes, both stock and custom, and we also offer custom-printed retractable belts upon request.
Our retractable belt barriers are extremely durable. If you have a broken stanchion component, we have replacement parts available, which can help you service your stanchion investment and reduce long-term costs compared to fully replacing your belt barriers.
Traditional Post & Rope Stanchions
This type of stanchion post uses a rope to connect each barrier instead of a belt found with retractable belt barriers. Post and Rope stanchions are the classic traditional posts in many high-end establishments, banks, hotels, and other venues.
As with the belt stanchions, these stanchions come in a variety of standard finishes and custom finishes upon request. The posts can be free-standing, removable, or fixed-mounted. The free-standing stanchions come in either a dome-shaped base or flat/sloped bases. There are three post-top options: flat, crown, or ball.
The stanchion ropes can be found in various materials that can be used indoors or outdoors. The rope diameters are available in 1” and 1.5” depending on the look you prefer for your venue. The Rope Ends, which hook to the stanchion posts, can be selected to match your post finish, or you can choose a contrasting finish. Classic stanchion post ropes also come in various materials: Naugahyde, velour/velvet, or twisted polypropylene. If you plan on using a wall/fixed object to hang your rope or just one side, you will want to add a Wall Loop mount.
You can add sign frames to traditional stanchion posts for directions, branding, or other messaging. During ordering, you must specify whether to have the post “Tapped” for threading on the sign frames. The taping process for signs is only available on the crowd and flat top stanchion posts.
Safety Stanchions
Our range of Site Safety barriers includes over 30 models, each designed to withstand tough working environments, whether indoors or outdoors. We offer a choice of more than 20 pre-printed safety message belts, or we can print a custom message of your design. Our Site Safety range provides unique solutions for restricting access to work areas, such as the world's first triple belt barrier and our new 1500 model, which features a 150-foot belt that significantly reduces the number of barriers needed.
Safety stanchions come in bright colors like
yellow, red, and orange. Bases vary from cast iron, galvanized steel/concrete,
rubber, or plastic (water/sand fillable). Like our other retractable
Plastic Stanchions & Chain
Plastic stanchions are a cost-effective and weather-resistant option for businesses. They are quite like classic stanchions but with a few key differences. Unlike classic stanchions, plastic stanchion posts have a C-hook on both sides instead of a ring at the top to attach plastic chains. They are made of plastic, which makes them lightweight and resistant to most weather damage. Additionally, plastic stanchion posts can be weighted with sand, gravel, or water for added stability. Their durability makes plastic stanchions and chains perfect for outdoor venues.
Conclusion: Elevating Queue Management
At Epic Solutions, we understand that every business has specific crowd control requirements. Therefore, we provide a diverse range of stanchion options that cater to your specific needs. Using stanchions is crucial for maintaining organized venues and effective queue lines. Our dedication to offering you options means that you have a vast selection of finish options and belt colors, ensuring that you find the perfect stanchion for any environment or event.
